Start with the browser engine

AdsPower documents SunBrowser based on Chrome and FlowerBrowser based on Firefox. Its requirements page lists Windows, macOS and Ubuntu. Mac Profiles uses WebKit as its primary engine and currently targets Apple-silicon Macs. If a website test requires Safari's engine family, that differs from needing Chrome- or Firefox-family behavior; none of these names makes the applications identical to the original branded browser.

Profile fields are not proof of parity

AdsPower's creation guide separates general information, proxy settings, platform details and fingerprint settings. Mac Profiles offers local organization and controlled proxy environment startup, but does not claim a complete replacement of hardware and graphics fingerprint surfaces. Compare the values actually exposed by the browser, including embedded frames and workers, instead of counting similarly named controls.

Test cookie compatibility at the destination

AdsPower documents several cookie input formats, including JSON and Netscape. Mac Profiles also has explicit JSON and Netscape cookie tools for closed local profiles. That shared format support does not prove that every attribute or every website session transfers without loss. Validate the imported entries and the site's behavior after reopening the destination profile.

Define the team operation precisely

For Mac Profiles, distinguish shared configuration, a server lease and an Orbit cookie handoff. Those are separate operations, not a promise of complete cloud session synchronization. When comparing another product, ask which data moves, who can initiate the operation and what happens when two clients request the same profile. Check the specific plan and current documentation for that workflow.

Pilot before moving important work

Run a small, repeatable test covering startup, proxy failure, normal close, restart and the actual handoff your team needs. Keep observed failures alongside successes. Mac Profiles may suit a team deliberately choosing a native WebKit workflow; a requirement for another engine or an unimplemented fingerprint capability should remain visible in the decision. This page makes no general performance, detection or price superiority claim.
